At least two young children were killed --- and many others were hurt.
As the nation again confronts the problem of gun violence, we turned to Timberlyn Mazeikis.
She's a volunteer at the advocacy group Students Demand Action - and a survivor of the 2023 school shooting at Michigan State University.
I asked her about the role of hate in the nation - against everyone from Catholics to the LGBTQ+ community - in the attack.
