Alex (b. 1989) is a British neoclassical composer who composes under the name Bistrot of art. He started playing piano at age 16 and wrote his first compositions shortly afterwards. He had a creative spell while living in Dubai for work, and released several pieces influenced by the Arabian starlit night sky. He takes breaks from composing, sometimes for years at a time, to draw deep inspiration and focus on other things but he always comes back refreshed with something new. After a long break from composing he came back to another creative spell while on holiday in Nice where he finished writing drafts of several EPs.

“Music has a deep calming effect on me, medicinal even. I often keep working and reworking original ideas into different pieces that reflect my current mood. I would like to create more for piano and it is my desire to write in a neoclassical style.”
