After contributing an extremely electrifying track to our V/A album last summer, SASO is back. This time treating us with an our full of bass-heavy goodness.

Originally from Texas, @djsasomusic has been crafting high-energy, rhythm-forward DJ sets for over a decade. Now emerging as a producer, SASO channels a deep passion for electro and bass music into a sound that feels both forward-thinking and refreshingly raw.

Rooted in percussive textures and bass-heavy momentum, SASO’s selections move fast — a collision of breaks, left-field club & bounce , ghetto tech, Electro and mutant electro stitched together with precision and unpredictability. Each set unfolds like a narrative of rhythm: tactile, physical, and intentionally off-center.

Motivated by a love for scenes that keep evolving beyond genre boxes, SASO finds inspiration in the ever-expanding experimental edge of club culture. Her approach is about connection through movement — building energy, tension, and release in ways that keep listeners alert and absorbed.

SASO is also the founder of @dbrk_lab (Daybreak) — an international party and mix series spotlighting experimental sounds and emerging voices. Designed as an approachable outlet for community and collaboration, DBRK_LAB offers space to celebrate creativity on all levels — from the local to the global underground.

About the mix:
For this Booty School mix, SASO slows things down to let the rhythm breathe. Known for fast, percussive, bass-heavy sets, this mix leans into a more emotional side of the spectrum — still grounded in weight and movement, but with space for reflection between the pulses.

Built around deep low-end, rolling percussion, and subtle textures, it explores the tension between intimacy and intensity — where groove meets vulnerability. The pacing is deliberate, the flow meditative; it’s a journey that sits closer to the body, less about acceleration and more about feeling the resonance of each beat.

It’s a different shade of SASO’s sound — still rhythmic, still tactile, but slower & warmer.
