Thank you very much to everyone who takes the time to listen, like and share my noises. I am extremely grateful. My apologies if I take a little while to respond to those that leave nice comments.

I like listening to music, making simple, tunes when I have time, and generally faffing about in an inefficient manner. Hopefully you might like something on offer here. 

I use a Hinkler Cigar Box guitar (about $30 from Aldi, great fun), a Flying V ukulele, a couple of old keyboards, other bits and bobs, and a Yamaha tenor saxophone.

Juan Acosta - Bass Player

Juan Acosta is a talented and versatile bass player originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. With a deep passion for music, Juan specializes in straight-ahead jazz but is skilled in performing a wide range of genres. Equally proficient on both electric and upright bass, he thrives in the art of improvisation and cherishes collaborating with musicians from diverse cultural and musical backgrounds.

For the past 14 years, Juan has proudly served as a member of the U.S. Army Band, where he has honed his skills as both a musician and a professional. As he approaches retirement, he is eager to transition to full-time performing, bringing his dynamic sound and creative energy to stages around the world.

Juan’s musical journey has taken him to renowned venues in New York City, Germany, and Texas, where he has captivated audiences with his artistry. Now residing in San Antonio, Texas, Juan enjoys a rich and fulfilling life with his wife and three children. A true artist at heart, Juan is passionate about sharing his love for music, pushing boundaries, and inspiring others through his craft.
