There are seasons for stillness — and there are seasons when joy must move.

This week, we follow a sonic thread through funk, soul, disco, and nu disco — as a declaration that in the mist of shifting interests and changing seasons, we can still find time to dance, still be grateful, and still carry the light that refuses to dim.

From the polished shimmer of Daft Punk and Luxxury to the full-bodied funk of Fatback, Chic, and Funkadelic, to the message-rich refrains of Kathy Brown, Coco Street, and Earth, Wind & Fire, This session is about mapping out our stories through rhythm.

You’ll hear echoes of afterhours freedom and broad daylight exuberance. Basslines dressed in plush velvet. Vocals wrapped in silky wisdom.  Stone cold grooves with grit, purpose, and permission.

This mix will challenge you to move with what’s real, and let the music do what it’s always done: Lift. Remind. Restore.

Because now we must fight for survival and for quality of life without losing our joy.  Even now. Especially now.
