Following the success of, Turkish Summer : Untouched Pearl On Virgin Sands, and its warm,  positive summer vibe, inspired me and showed me my growth as an artist ,the creation of Tea At Sunrise is the physical representation of that growth in my process, the new ideas and work flow, the next two coming release,Through Light We Live , Paradiso Perduto are very different in their overall vibe, still positive and uplifting but with a higher bpm and more of a deep yet Techy groove

Do you Believe in Rapture with Strings

In 1995, the year I was born, astronomer Bob Williams ordered the Hubble Space Telescope to point at a seemingly empty patch of the sky for 100 hours. The image that was recorded, known now as the Hubble eXtreme Deep Field (it's the photo in the song art!), opened our eyes to the twinkling infinity that is our cosmos. This song is about humanity's transition from seeing the night sky as a beautiful patchwork of stars to our window into the unknowably vast universe we live in.

This song is also my first attempt with the Novation Launchkey Mini Mk3! It's completely changed the way I approach music making. The random arpeggios were created with the arpeggiator feature; the drums were recorded using the launchpad area; the keys and strings were bonus instruments that came with the purchase. 

This song is also the first one I recorded live within Ableton. While the arpeggios were prerecorded, I controlled the cutoff and volume using knobs on the Novation Launchkey throughout the song. Same with the drums; i triggered them using the launchpad on the Novation Launchkey. I played the strings completely live using my larger digital piano. It was fun to multitask! At times, i felt like the 21st century version of the one man band. I have so much to learn and I am looking forward to learning more!

Trained under the wing of Motown legend Paul Riser, (and Motown/Stax arranger Johnny Allen), Pirahnahead has an edge in today’s music industry, which has become a much needed element in today's music: classical orchestration. Formally educated by the late Matt Michaels (at Wayne State University), his understanding of stringed instruments and enriched harmonies make him a sought-after musical director and producer. The lush element of his string arrangements can be heard on The Foreign Exchange's 2013 long awaited fourth LP “Love In Flying Colors” which climbed up three of Billboard’s charts (incl. The R&B / soul charts), as well as Quentin Harris' dance / club hit “Give It 2 U (ft. Ultra Nate)” which won an IDMA award, and topped the billboard's dance/play charts. Also, included on Shuya Okino's 'United Legends' projects in Japan reached #1 on the J-pop charts. The “Soulchestra” (pirahnahead’s large 17 piece string orchestra, led by some of Detroit's finest orchestra musicians) has been featured on Grammy award winning albums by such legends as Stevie Wonder, Raphael Saadiq, Joss Stone, Kem and (the late) Teena Marie. DJChicNoir has been playing in the underground house scene over the past 25 years. After picking up the violin at the age of five, Adriana attended Denver School of the Arts as a member of their orchestra, jazz band and mariachi band.

When she turned 18, Adriana headed east to New York City, where she’s currently based. Living in New York has fostered her love of music, culture, travel, and motorcycles, and inspired adventures to far-off lands from Lebanon to Panama. 

Professionally she got her start arranging jazz standards for big bands, and more recently she arranged and recorded string parts for Jim James solo album, Regions of Light Sounds of God. She’s performed with a variety of musicians, from Santigold (opening for Björk at Madison Square Garden) to the Mexican rock band, Maná.

Adriana is currently composing and choreographing pieces for her electro-disco string band, Dirty Dawn. She hopes to continue collaborating with other musicians—at home and abroad—and to connect with the cultures and people behind the music.
