01 Felons Sunday Session

MÂtChÜ  mixes Groovy Brass Funk with Brazilian Lofi beats, and African drums to create a space for music lovers to drop out of their heads and into the moment that is right NOW. 

Often times featuring live instrumentalists with layered loops of indigenous instruments such as the dij and tablas, MÂtChÜ seeks to create something new by connecting to the ancient. 

Growing up nomadically, his musical journey began with island music from the Seychelles and then lyrically progressive hip hop of both the East and West coast of the US before working his way backwards to the source, discovering the jazz, blues, and groove roots of New Orleans. The inspiration to jump into the music scene started when Latin rhythms began combining with the sound of New Orleans in his heart and a need to create was born. 

Always learning, vocal aspects continue to emerge from this growing practice.
