Now, I'm revisiting an old favorite! This is my new piano cover of "Lost My Pieces" from the Toradora! anime soundtrack. This is a remake of a version I did cover back in 2011. It's amazing how time flies, but this song is still just as special to me because it was the first cover I published when I started playing piano 💖.

"Lost My Pieces" is one of those old anime songs that's so full of emotion. It has a gentle, bittersweet, and beautifully melancholic mood that always makes me feel nostalgic. It perfectly captures that quiet feeling of looking back on precious, half-forgotten memories.

For anyone who’s seen the anime, the song plays at the Christmas Eve scene where Taiga finally admits her feelings for Ryūji... Taiga already knows Ryūji has a crush on Minori, and she assumes Minori might fall for him too... that scene breaks me every time...

The melodies perfectly captures all the pain and the sincerity feelings in that single moment.

I tried my best to pour all of that sentimental feeling into this performance. I hope this arrangement brings back some wonderful memories for you too!

今回は、昔好きだった曲をもう一度弾いてみました！これは『とらドラ！』の「Lost My Pieces」の新しいピアノカバーで、2011年に弾いたもののリメイクです。時間が経つのは早いですね。でも、この曲は私がピアノを始めて、最初に投稿したカバーだから、今でもすごく特別です💖。

「Lost My Pieces」は、すごくエモーな昔のアニソンです。優しくて、ちょっと甘酸っぱくて、きれいで、そして切ない感じが、いつも懐かしい気持ちにさせます。昔の、大切だった思い出を思い出させてくれるような曲だと思います。

アニメを見た人は知っていると思いますが、この曲はクリスマスイブのシーンで、大河が竜児への本当の気持ちに気づくところで流れます…。大河は竜児が実乃梨を好きなことを知っているし、実乃梨も竜児を好きになるかも…と思っている…。このシーンは、いつ見ても泣いてしまいます。

あのメロディーは、その時の痛みと、本当の気持ちを、とてもよく表していると思います。

そんな切ない気持ちを、今回の演奏に込めてみました。このアレンジで、皆さんも何か素敵な思い出を思い出してくれたら嬉しいです！
