She is the 36th Golden Melody Award Best Female Mandarin Singer: Waa Wei. I've deeply admired her since her Natural Q days, and interviewed her multiple times back then. Seeing her win her second Golden Melody Award for Best Female Mandarin Singer is genuinely moving. 
When I first heard Waa Wei's "Rose Is Not A Rose Is Not A Rose Is Not A Rose," that instant resonance left a lasting impression. The song's lyrics and arrangement create rich, layered textures, every beat and vocal line falls into place with uncanny precision. 
In that moment, I knew this was a hit, a work worthy of reinterpretation.
