2020. The first piece of the ballet music series selected by the [Western Dance Music Research Institute] to commemorate the 180th anniversary of the birth of Russian ballet music composer Tchaikovsky is a concert suite made from excerpts from his ballet music The Nutcracker. This piece was uniquely rearranged by Russian pianist Mikhail Pletnev, adding all the techniques that can be expressed through piano performance. This album features the fourth piece, Intermezzo, which stands out for its beautiful melody.

Pianist Eun-ji Park, a Dong-Ak Nua invited artist, captured the overall image and wintery feeling of The Nutcracker with her delicate sensibility and elegant performance skills in this album. In addition, her bold interpretation of the piece and excellent playing skills brought the melody line to life while simultaneously playing powerfully.

Pianist Eun-ji Park's new album, which shows her affection for ballet music, will be a starting point for her more diverse activities as a performer and arranger, along with her book, 'Meet Ballet with Your Fingertips'. Tchaikovsky-M.Pletnev 'The Nutcracker' Concert Suite for Piano

2020년. 러시아 발레음악 작곡가 ‘차이코프스키' 탄생 180주년을 기념해 [서양무용음악연구소]가 선택한 발레음악 시리즈의 첫 작품은 그의 발레음악 '호두까기 인형(The Nutcracker)' 전곡 중 발췌하여 만든 콘서트 모음곡이다. 이 작품은 러시아 피아니스트 ‘미하일 플레트네프(Mikhail Pletnev)'가 피아노 연주로 표현할 수 있는 모든 기교를 더해 독창적으로 재편곡한 작품으로 이번 앨범은 그 중 아름다운 선율이 돋보이는 네 번째 곡 ‘인터메조'이다.

동아크누아 초빙 아티스트인 박은지 피아니스트는 이번 앨범에서 섬세한 감각과 유려한 연주력으로 ‘호두까기 인형'의 전반적인 이미지와 겨울의 느낌을 담아내었으며 또한 그녀의 대담한 작품 해석과 뛰어난 타건력은 파워풀한 연주와 동시에 멜로디 라인을 명확하게 살려주어 곡에 생기를 불어넣어주었다.

발레음악에 대한 애착이 느껴지는 박은지 피아니스트의 이번 앨범은 그녀의 저서 ‘손끝으로 만나는 발레'와 함께 연주가 및 편곡가로서 더욱 다채로운 활동을 예고하는 출발점이 될 것이다.

An album featuring ballet works by two great masters, Petipa and Tchaikovsky, arranged and performed by pianist Han Da-hye.

Divertissement is a characteristic element of classical ballet,

and refers to dances that provide entertainment and fun to the audience regardless of the content of the play.

Tchaikovsky's last ballet music piece, [The Nutcracker],

is a work based on an incident that occurs on Christmas Eve,

and is a representative winter performance worldwide.

This work, which premiered at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg in 1892, was adapted by French writer Dumas from German Romantic writer Ernst Hoffmann's The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, and the ballet libretto by Marius Petipa of the Imperial Ballet, and the music by Tchaikovsky.
The ballet is set in Christmas, and thanks to its easy-to-understand plot and fairytale-like atmosphere,
it is a work loved by all age groups, regardless of gender or age.
