The chord progression of this piece came to me suddenly one day right when I picked up my guitar, even though I had indented to start a different project. I went with this idea instead, and was pleasantly surprised by how everything fell into place.

I hope you are having a nice summer. Here's a bit of my summer and the feeling of it in music.

Solitary Walk

One microphone and a laptop...
I started recording during lockdown under the name of “Age of Freedom”, and released a few demos. The project evolved into a loose collaboration of friends, leading to a debut album in November 2025, with 3 singles preceding this over summer 2025. And still one mic and a laptop...

A few thanks:

Jassi B helped out on keyboards from time to time and was the original inspiration for the writing of “Sunshine Dreaming.” The encouragement was invaluable.

Darrell Roberts co-wrote 3 tracks, adding bass, guitar and keys but most importantly encouragement to continue.

Bill Newns in New Zealand for kindly adding bass to “Arks Across the Sky.”

Mark Drummond Lee for the encouragement and, I hope, some songs on the second album?

Phil Beale for encouragement and a second ear.

Patrick Ramsay Whale for the donation of his Line 6 amp, which got me to pick up my guitar again and start writing.

Un microphone et un ordinateur portable... 
J'ai commencé à enregistrer pendant le confinement sous le nom de "Age of Freedom". Après quelques démos, le projet s'est transformé en une collaboration d'amis, avec 3 singles sortis pendant l'été 2025, puis un premier album (novembre 2025). Encore un microphone et un ordinateur portable...
