Song 4 for the July 2024 5-in-5 Challenge. The prompt was to use at least five of the following words: Miami - Breeze - Verbena - Compassion - Unwind - Sweat - Rattan - Floral - Walking - Twirl. I deployed six; as the words for these prompts seem to have been chosen at random (?), I often feel like I go into "free-association" mode!

I recorded this demo on my TASCAM DP-006 "pocketstudio", with two 12-string guitars, mandolin and vocal. Maybe I'll expand on this song one day...

August breeze, and waves the grass
To the verbena’s song
That signs the path your feet unwind
In shapes we pass along
