Algorhythmic, real name Troy du Plooy, is a South African producer and DJ based in Johannesburg. Music is something he is passionate about in general, but he especially loves electronic music. He is especially passionate about house and techno, which are the genres he produces.

His stagename, Algorhythmic, reflects another one of his passions: computer science and programming, which he studied at university. It is also a reflection of how he approaches music: thoroughly, systematically, and analytically. However, Troy has never lost sight of one ultimate truth in such an approach to music: The most important part of music is how it makes you feel, and this is what guides him whenever he is working on a new track. He seeks to make you feel uplifted, free, and joyful, and for you to connect with deep parts of yourself you never knew existed, guided by the heartbeat of the four-on-the-floor rhythms of his kicks and stirred by the progression of his harmonies and melodies.
