Jay emerges from the streets of Seattle, Everett, and Tacoma. Cities that shaped his sound through struggle, survival, and soul. His music is born from lived experience growing up in gang culture, navigating homelessness, and fighting through circumstances designed to defeat him. Jay’s style blends old school lyricism with new school trap grit, delivering verses that are emotionally charged, socially conscious, and unapologetically real.  

Jay’s music isn’t about flexing. It’s about truth. It’s about the people who live in survival mode, who hustle because they have no other choice, and who carry stories that rarely get told. His tracks are street born, relationship driven, and politically aware, offering listeners a window into the realities behind the headlines and stereotypes.

Nas, Asheru, Black Thought, Kendrick Lamar, Queen Latifah, JID, Ransom, Nispey Hussle, Dave East, Reason, Tupac, Black Odyssey, Freddie Gibbs, OutKast, Brother Ali, Lauryn Hill, and Draze, among many more. Artists who speak truth to power and paint vivid portraits of life in the margins. Though often compared to frat rappers, Jay carves his own lane, rejecting frat-boy rap and embracing a sound rooted in authenticity and pain.  

Who is Jay?
Jay is a hip-hop artist from the Pacific Northwest, raised in the trenches and forged by the streets. His music is a reflection of his life. Not a performance, but a testimony.

Why Jay?
Jay’s mission is clear. To make people see the full reality of growing up in gang culture and poverty. To him it’s more than what you see in mainstream media. It’s waking up every day expecting to die. It’s doing whatever you have to do to survive. He writes music that reflects that.
