Hi, my name is Damian!

I’m a musician, composer, and producer from Saskatchewan, Canada. I’ve spent the last decade or so performing and recording with my heavy metal bands, Altars of Grief, Subside, and most recently, Northern Graves. To these projects, I have contributed clean and harsh vocals, guitars, bass, as well as worked on choral and orchestral arrangements. In 2015, Altars of Grief was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year (for “This Shameful Burden”), and in 2018, won a SaskMusic Award for Best Loud/Metal Artist of the Year. I also make fantasy/dungeon synth music under the name Hircine.

The through line of all these projects has been a passion for telling stories and creating memorable and emotional moments with music. It’s this goal that has led me to an interest in composing for media and games and seeking to help others bring their musical visions to life for their endeavors.
