There is a popular segment on talk-back radio Station 2UE featuring unusual or different business ideas. 

Pete Miller was asked to comment on his unique wedding MC directory service that provides fully trained, multi-lingual public speakers that save the bride and grooms friend from 'working' at their wedding.

This allows the friend who may have been asked to MC to instead enjoy the event and use their public speaking skills to make a nice speech.

Surprisingly and totally unscripted, many listeners rang in to the radio show to congratulate Pete and his event host emcee service and also add their funny and tragic wedding MC stories; especially about how alcohol and speeches do not mix well together.

One professional master of ceremonies named Robert agreed that an MC can make or break the event.
