I've gotten so many requests to put a mix out under my Afro House alias ‘Rhodes’ so here ya go. On Sunday I got to @discover.lala and just hit record and started playing. Zero planning, zero editing, one take. Every time I’m playing music live I try to make sure it sounds like a studio quality mix. I think you’ll definitely hear the attention to detail in this one. I'm doing 5 hour sets there and this is the first 1.5 hours or so. I'll be releasing a new volume every month. Hope you enjoy the chill African vibes!

Hailing from a family of musicians in the northern suburbs of Detroit, Evan Rhodes embarked on his musical journey at the age of 11 when he first picked up a guitar. As he immersed himself in the world of music, he added the keys to his repertoire and soon found his true calling in the art of DJing. At the age of 16, Evan delved into the realm of electronic music, captivated by the pulsating beats of underground warehouse parties in Detroit. These immersive experiences ignited a profound passion for house music and a genuine affinity for the underground scene.

In 1998, Evan secured his first residency at the infamous Velvet Lounge, sharing the stage with world-renowned greats such as Terrance Parker and DJ Godfather. Jonathan Ramdan — best known as Jon Trini — is the LA-based artist, producer, and DJ the Caribbean scene in the city can’t get enough of. Hailing from Rio Claro, Trinidad & Tobago, Jon Trini’s DJ sets have blessed audiences at Hollywood Carnival, Boiler Room, Soho House, Foreigner events and as an opener for Kes The Band.
