Fun Facts:
Loving You originally had three verses of lyrics as well as the chorus.
The chorus remains, but the three verses were discarded due to being "too yucky".
Instead the guitar plays the vocal melody.
The song was shortened to a single instrumental verse.
Loving You is in the key of C major.
The guitar is played through an EHX Electric Mistress and Guyatone Analogue Delay.
The lead guitar also has a Boss OC2 Octaver.
The amplifier is a transistor, an HH 5-Channel PA, with reverb.

Fun Facts:
This is a song that became quite well known and popular.
It was written after George had spent a day fooling around and trying things out in the music room of a friend of his Dad.
There were some more lyrics about sheep and grass in the key change section before the choruses, but these were soon abandoned.
Instead, the lead guitar plays what was the vocal melody in this places.
This song was performed live many times, by Wud, Lemming Meringue and others.

Fun Facts:
Two Timer is a song that was performed live many times by Rough Terrain.
In their version there was a growly swamp guitar which was quite fun.
The band often used to run the song into So Begins the Crying, which was also in F#m.
Two Timer appears on Rough Terrain's Exit Stage Deaf compilation.
It was written on the same day as That's No Way to Pay a Bodyguard, and has a very different feel to it.

Fun Facts:
Will I Still Be With You Tomorrow is the third song for The Concept Album, and the second to be finished.
It received a slight lyrical update when George and Senga collaborated on this in 1986.
The chords in the verses are barre chords played in the same positions for each line, but using different shapes.

Fun Facts:
This song was written the day after That's No Way to Pay a Bodyguard and Two Timer.
It is in the key of E minor.
George's Dad liked the guitar in this one.
We were surprised at how long it was.
There was some sort of accident with a playback, a live track and a punch pedal somewhere in the middle.
It was never performed by a band.

Leaving Me Here was performed by Wud.
Ken could do over-the-top pretty well and did a good job of this song.
The oddly jazzy instrumental break came in part from a guitar lesson George had.
This lesson was his very first introduction to the phrygian mode.
The original idea apparently came from a song by Barbara Streisand.

Fun Facts:
They Painted Their Bodies was the first finished song for The Concept Album.
Although a lot of the music for The Concept Album came fairly quickly, the lyrics did not.
They Painted Their Bodies was composed in a caravan in some woods near Dunsford, on the edge of Dartmoor.
George and Yvonne were ostensibly going to write a lot of songs during the week they stayed there, but only managed the one.
The did manage to enact a ceremony that would feature later on the concept album.
The Concept Album told the tale of some adventurers who embarked upon an epic quest to defeat a terrible evil against insurmountable odds.
The idea came from a computer game on the Apple II called Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord by Andrew Greenberg and Robert Woodhead.
They Painted Their Bodies is in the key of C minor and is the second song for the album.

* What do we stand for as a label?

We support all independent musicians who are doing something we find interesting. Our team members all have formal music education qualifications.

We are against corporate brainwash muzak, their puppet friends in the mass media, and many other corporate activities. We will fight their desecration of music until either it stops or we die. 

We believe in helping others in the face of corrupt laws and a broken system. We are pro democracy, green energy and free speech.

We're politically liberal. We cannot support the republicans, maga or gun violence in the usa. We don't see there's any real difference, other than in name, between the christian far right in the USA and the taliban in Afghanistan.

In the uk we are broadly pro LibDem/Green/Labour/SNP. We are VERY anti-tory, bnp, ukip, and any of their friends and associates. We have no trust at all in the uk right wing press monopoly and the bbc. Beware the bbc and its claims of neutrality. It is the propaganda mouthpiece of the tory party. It even charges a propaganda tax called the licence fee. But we like Test Match Special and Radio 6, so does that make us hypocrites...? Hmm.

We support independence for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Cornwall. We support the individual and the underdog. We are anti-putin and his war, and pro-Ukraine.
