This set, performed on the summer solstice, was inspired by the sun's journey in the sky - from dawn, through rising, to high noon, to sunset, to dusk, and total darkness. The ecstatic dance wave perfectly mimics this process, so I wanted to bring it to life through music.

Dance calls us to lead from the heart. Drop in and feel what’s present in the depths of your beautiful heart space and allow it to guide you. What would like to be expressed? What layers are wanting to be shed? In this sacred container, you are invited to open the currents of your heart and ride the wave as it rises, falls, flows, tumbles and expands.

Allow yourself to be moved, to be danced,
not by will, but by the rhythm that lives in silence.
In that sacred turning, thought dissolves—

Tapping the Inner Sun

There is no other—only reflections of the One in many forms. All My Relations, they whisper through wind and bone: the rock beneath your feet, the soil that holds memory, the plants that sing in color, the creatures that crawl, fly, howl. Your body, wild and wise, is not separate from theirs. Dance and sweat your prayers into the Earth. Turn to the four directions, feel your ancestors at your back, the sky kissing your crown. Let your heartbeat become a drum for the sacred—A ho! Mitakuye Oyasin!

A personal and collective prayer for healing, honoring endings and the new beginnings they bring. Not all dreams or seeds planted take hold, not all cherished beliefs serve our growth. What matters is to tend to the things with strong roots, blooms, and fruits and to let go of what is draining us. The practice and invitation to shake it off is reflected across culture, dance, and the natural world. Letting go is not always easy and can be challenging - but the freedom that comes from release is sweet and liberating.

WOW!!! What a burn, what a camp (Rhythm Wave), what a dance!!! This is a 2 wave dance that was designed to go into the depths of the underworld, have moments of popping up for air, diving back in, really riding our way to the top, and finishing with touching the depths of our soul! My intention was to span across many emotional dimensions in one coherent dance journey. The first wave ends and second wave starts at 57:24.

Meet katiedid, a multi-genre artist bringing catharsis to dance floors. As an ecstatic dance DJ and dedicated force in the world of journey-based dance music, she creates hypnotic containers and eclectic musical landscapes that invite dancers to express a full spectrum of emotions. Since her debut in 2009, katiedid has curated hundreds of open format dance sets that travel through a wide span of genres, including (but never limited to) house, drum and bass, indietronica, contemporary classical, soul, funk and ambient. 

katiedid is also a pianist and electronic producer who makes original music as one half of the band Beckon (other half: Chelsee Cynesthesia), as well as layered and textured solo ambient jams.

Malahakam emerges as a dynamic DJ bringing deep and hypnotic blends of psychedelic and organic electronic music from psytrance, global bass, psychill, and more. Since stepping onto the electronic music scene in 2017 she has been crafting powerful and evocative auditory experiences around the globe at festivals, ecstatic dances, retreats, and gatherings. Beyond her role as a performer Malahakam is also a skilled sound therapist, integrating her deep understanding and knowledge of healing frequencies and the neuroscience of music and sound into her curated sets. She weaves a numinous sonic field of ethnic influences, deep tribal rhythms, ethereal melodies, mystical overtones and liberating frequencies - inviting us to heal and explore with curiosity the landscapes of our dreams through movement and dance. Known for her mastery of storytelling through music she cultivates sacred space with sonic vibrations and deep prayer, setting the stage for dancing our dreams into lucidity.
