Seattle-based Northern Cold is a rising talent, carving his own path in high-energy hard trance and hard techno. 

Influenced by hypnotic rave music from classic eras along with harder elements from punk and metal, he isn't afraid to step across genre boundaries or take risks. 

He launched EONS Label in 2024 to highlight the best new tracks that capture this spirit. The label is rapidly growing and has already released original EPs from Northern Cold, CYNTHESZR, IN_DUAL, Ominousboy, Instead of 7, and KRØK. 

In 2024, he became a resident DJ for Substrate Techno. This new collective has established a regular event series for hard techno in Seattle. This year has seen the expansion of the EONS Label team, its first vinyl release (Northern Cold's Onyx EP), and the beginning of its label showcase event series.

As a companion piece to the retrospective compilation celebrating the legacy of Grow! Records, this limited 12" offers an additional glimpse into the label’s vaults. Featuring previously unreleased mixes from the original founders alongside a special contribution by US house pioneer Doc Martin, it expands the story of Grow! with rare material that has never before appeared on vinyl.

Edited and remastered from the original tapes, these tracks retain the raw, analog character that defined the label since its beginnings in Vienna in 1995. While the compilation reflects Grow!’s history in broad strokes, this 12" zooms in on deeper cuts and hidden versions, capturing the underground spirit in its purest form.

Essential for collectors and DJs alike, this release continues the celebration of one of Austria’s most respected house imprints – timeless music that was made to be played loud.
