On August 12, 1985, Japan Airlines Flight 123 departed from Tokyo bound for Osaka. Just 12 minutes after takeoff, a faulty repair caused the rear pressure bulkhead to rupture, destroying the aircraft's vertical stabilizer and rendering it nearly uncontrollable. Despite catastrophic damage, the pilots fought desperately for 32 agonizing minutes, trying to regain control. Tragically, the plane ultimately crashed into a remote mountain range. 520 people perished—only four survived. It remains the deadliest single-aircraft accident in aviation history.

Toronto, Canada-based acid techno head 747 is back with his first studio album since 2019 and his third on Emily Nicoll’s Aquaregia label. This one taps into his roots in the Pacific Northwest with a retro-future collision of jungle breaks, 90s trance and acid across nine cuts that range from atmospheric acid techno to more introspective, breaks-driven sounds, but always with great pad work and rolling basslines making for bursts of chaotic energy. The title cut immediately locks you in with thrilling drum programming and pensive 303s, then cuts like 'Second Narrows' get more frantic and mind-melting and 'Camosun Bog' pairs plunging bass with more meticulous drums.

I am so humbled to be able to release each and every entry.

This September marks 6 years of Sundays. The musical journey continues, and evolves, so too does the visual. Simple, and abstract. Bridging the digital and analog realms, the art continues to change and match energy. A sine wave in all its glory, nothing less, nothing more. A comfort in its identity, a comfort in its simplicity.
