track made using korg ds-10 on the nintendo ds. samples taken from 'the last stop' (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6508926/) - a documentary about the elan school and the usa's troubled teen industry. to this day children are being put into these schools under the guise of "therapy" despite numerous deaths over the last half a century and practices that are quite clearly forms of physical/psychological abuse. a lack of regulation and public pressure to deal with this for-profit industry, alongside back room political/financial deals, means schools like elan continue to function to this day. the content and lyrics of the song itself cover a wide range of recent political issues in the uk. considering we are collectively being gaslit and abused by our own government/corporations/media on a scale of alternative reality i've never seen in my lifetime, alongside draconian law changes to prevent power being held to account, the connection between the two subject matters seemed somewhat fitting. and yes, frank turner really did say that, look it up.

The Robox is a Project that has been going for 15 years, with genre's spanning Funk, Synthwave, Electro and Jungle. Inspired by 80s & 90s films, 60s counter culture. Also, Sega, Nintendo and comic books played a role in defining my sounds, I never usually stick to one specific style, but I do like old retro sounds more than modern sharp shrill tones. 

Big thanks goes to the ones who followed from the beginning, and beyond! I'm surprised that so many people have listened/liked/follwed/reposted, it's quite astounding! There is so much variety and choice of music out there, so really, a massive thanks to the lot of you! ☺ 


I've got alot of tracks in the works, but anything that is made, is composed on A 2003 XP Laptop running all the favourites, Ableton 9.5(Arturia plug ins, Obxd, Korg synths, serum, a ton of old drum machines Hardware/Software.) And Ozone 8 for mastering. Yes, all on an obsolete XP 😁 Anything is possible!
