Draconic Seed

One of my first-ever big music projects was to score a large mod for Descent 3, which only ever got partially released.  After hearing about the release of that game's source code a few weeks ago I wanted to go back to a few of the riffs and sorta rudimentary atmospheres I created back then and reinterpret them into new songs that would be... well, more deserving of being called "songs" :)  Like feeding on myself for inspiration, ouroboros style :D

This is one such new song.  Most of the bits and pieces I used as jumping-off points come from tracks that would have played in the final level of the mod if it had been finished, but, let's face it, a lot of the stuff I wrote back then ended up sounding the same anyway.  So, any folks who actually remember what was released of Army of Haloon will probably recognize at least some of these ideas :)

So I saw the new trailer for Doom and it got the riffs flowing through my blood, got the lyrics running through my head, and this is what came out. :)

Sometimes I worry that I'll never have time to play these games because they make me wanna record so much -- best to get it out of my system when it is only a trailer :D
And I hope on the very slim chance someone from Bethesda finds this they don't mind me grabbing a still from the trailer to use as the track image.  I'll remove the picture if I'm asked to but for now I don't see anything wrong with providing my own little bit of extra hype :)

The Warm Embrace Of Kindness - Act 2

We pretty much started when we were kids, but we were really crap haha.. but we have been getting better and better so we thought why not just upload our music on the internet! We do all our recording in a little room in a shed which we call "The Dog Box".

Over the years the lineup has changed, at this stage M.U.S is a solo project that does collabs from time to time.

Its actually really hard to describe the soundscape of the music because it vary's so much.

The first three albums we recorded, (two of which are ancient made when we were just young lads :p), sound like murder haha.. But the stuff that's being uploaded now is recent, which should be a big YAY! For you cause you won't die from bleeding out your ears :)

Influences vary a lot too, some of my influences include: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eric Clapton, Devin Townsend, Metallica, Tool, Joe Bonamassa, plus a whole bunch more!

There's probably a million chaps better out there but meh, I still love to make music, mistakes and all.
