This one was made with Cold Busted in mind — a funky, sample-driven beat built for the sound that label was just beginning to define. For whatever reason, it never made it onto their roster and lived quietly in my archives instead.

Now it feels like a snapshot of that moment in time: dusty grooves, 80s-soaked nostalgia, and the spirit of independent labels finding new ways to share timeless beats.

Fifteen-plus years later, 80s Vibes finally sees daylight as part of the Lost Dubs series — a little “what if” from 2008, now out in the world.

This was inspired by my own experiences. After overcoming Drug addiction and depression only by the grace and mercy of God. I want to use my life for him now.
