Pareidolia is the second album by Lion with the Head of a Man. Written and recorded after a long hiatus, the record explores composition through synthesizers, programmed drums, jazz influences, string arrangements, sludge, and the illusion of form — balancing tight structures with moments of improvisation and collapse.

The sound is heavier, darker, and more abstract, diving deeper into the band’s blend of post-metal, ambient noise, and a more experimental approach to composition.

Echoes of Light is an independent music producer who transforms emotion, memory, and real human experience into atmospheric, progressive and cinematic sound. The project was born during a period of deep personal loss, where music became a way to survive, to heal, and to give meaning to moments that words could no longer carry.

With roots in the classic hi-fi world of the 80s and 90s, and supported by formal training in sound engineering, Echoes of Light combines technical precision with emotional depth. Years of work in mixing through the Cambridge Music Technology program helped refine a unique approach to sound design — from controlling bleed in drum recordings to shaping immersive textures and expressive dynamics.

On the technical side, the project has been strongly informed by educators and engineers such as Dan Worrall and Mark Daniel Nelson, whose in-depth explanations of plugins, dynamics and mixing workflows helped shape a deeper understanding of modern audio. The creative inspiration itself, however, comes from within: from lived experience, personal dedication and a constant search for honest expression.

Musically, Echoes of Light blends progressive metal, atmospheric rock, and cinematic soundscapes, creating tracks that feel intimate, emotional, and expansive. Every composition carries a fragment of a story — a moment of truth captured in sound.

Echoes of Light exists where emotion, technique, and storytelling meet.
Here, every track means something.

And every listen is a connection.

Lion with the Head of a Man is an experimental rock band focused on blending complex rhythms, textured soundscapes, and dynamic songwriting. Their music combines progressive rock elements with electronic layers, creating a distinct sound that’s both thoughtful and powerful. The core members are:

Alex Rojas – Drums and Bass
Fernando Fonseca – Synthesizers and Guitars
Juan Luis Chaves – Guitars

A fractured reality where the boundaries between worlds have been ripped open. A realm known as The Shattered Veil — a twilight dimension torn between raw chaos and dark order. This realm feeds off the destruction of other dimensions, growing stronger with each war waged.

The Denizens:

The Wraithborn: Fallen celestial beings twisted by the Veil’s corruption. They’re warlords and generals of the infernal legions. Not just mindless demons, but fallen angels turned ruthless tyrants.

The Howling: Lesser spirits of rage and torment — frenetic, chaotic, screaming creatures that swarm and consume.

The Argent Chains: Prisoners of the Veil, bound by ethereal chains forged from shattered light, forced to serve in endless gladiatorial blood-sports. Some retain flickers of their former selves, some become twisted beasts.

The Harbingers: Alien entities from beyond the Veil’s rifts, neither demon nor mortal, but something darker — they whisper prophecies of an approaching purge, a reckoning that could annihilate everything.

The Conflict:
A war that never ends. The Wraithborn seek to dominate the shattered worlds, feeding their power by enslaving other beings and tearing through realities. The Howling fuel the carnage with bloodlust and frenzy. The Argent Chains fight for a spark of freedom or oblivion. The Harbingers watch, waiting for the moment to strike — a cataclysm known only as The Final Rend.

Big things are coming…
