Unsere Radioshow entstand im Rahmen eines gemeinsamen Ferienworkshops der Hörfunk- und Projektwerkstatt HUP und des Stadtgeschichtlichen Museums Leipzig, anlässlich der Ausstellung "Zwischen Aufbruch und Abwicklung. Die 90er in Leipzig." Wir haben uns mit Expert:innen über Connewitz, Kindheit&Jugend in den 90ern, Connewitz, Schule, Stadtentwicklung, Umweltschutz und vieles mehr unterhalten. 

Die Musik wurde aus rechtlichen Gründen entfernt:

Dave Hyde - Twentyfour is not over Part 3

Emerging from the heart of early‑’90s European acid techno, Azid Force’s “Far From E” EP, originally released June 21, 1993 on Superstition Records, cemented itself as a cult classic with its hypnotic, extended title track, morse‑call tech rhythms in “Breakattack,” and fierce, oscillating synth mayhem of “Brain Killer”.

Long celebrated in DJ circles and collector communities for its raw energy and production by Oliver Lieb and Pascal Dardoufas (Pascal F.E.O.S.), the EP’s vinyl legacy remains a cherished gem among electronic aficionados

Now, almost exactly 32 years later, Superstition Records offers the newly remastered 2025 version, injecting new clarity and punch into every acid-laden beat. The re-issue maintains the original 12-inch EP configuration, including the 14:46-minute title piece “Far From E,” the compact powerhouse of “Breakattack,” and the unyielding search of “Brain Killer.”

The Cage is an album caught between light and shadow – a collection of songs that breathe both intimacy and grandeur. Minimalist guitar and piano motifs intertwine with warm cello lines, carried by hypnotic beats and wide, cinematic soundscapes. The sound moves between trip-hop, indie and alternative – at times fragile as a whisper, at others soaring and eruptive.

The lyrics circle around love in the face of collapse, around longing, and the feeling of being trapped while still carrying hope within. Each track opens its own space: from melancholic floating ballads to dark, urban trip-hop grooves.

With The Cage, Velvet Petals deliver a work that feels both vulnerable and powerful – a soundtrack for sleepless nights, moments of solitude, and the quiet triumph of loving against all odds.

As some of you know, I decided on my 42nd birthday to learn a new skill every year. Nothing job-related - just focused on pleasure and fun. As children, we do that all the time. As adults, we often don't. Why is that?

That's what I was wondering. So I made the decision: every year, 'learn something new. Maybe l'll master it, maybe won't - but l'll try. And that in itself is exciting.
This year, I chose to learn how to DJ - playing my favorite music: house, tech house, and all that good stuff. I'm taking lessons with teachers from all over the world, both in person and over Skype. It's so much fun, and l've realized how much I love music - not just dancing, but also discovering new tracks, mixing, and more.

I'm far from perfect, but I decided to start recording myself while I practice and to share those sets with the world. Yes, there will be some fuck-ups here and there - but the music is nice, and with every set, get a little bit better. As my knowledge grows, so will my sets.

So enjoy it - wherever you are, however you like.

Ziel unserer Arbeit ist, neben dem Erwerb von Medienkompetenz, vor allem Kindern und Jugendlichen eine öffentliche Plattform für ihre Themen zu bieten. 
In Kursen und Workshops entstehen Radiobeiträge, die im Programm von Radio blau sugestrahlt werden.
