Welcome to the episode 57 of ZZGO Radio!

I hadn't realized it until a friend of mine was looking at my SoundCloud the other day and told me, but I posted the first episode of ZZGO Radio to SoundCloud exactly 5 years ago in September 2019.  I had started DJing a few months before that so I was just getting going.  The earlier episodes had all different kinds of vibes going on until I settled into focusing the show on more melodic and progressive house, but it was a walk down memory lane listening back to a few of those older mixes. I played a private party this weekend and even played a few tracks that were in some of those earlier mixes which just goes to show you that good tracks are timeless.  Anyway, if you are curious, check out some of those older episodes and let me know what you think.

About Astrek:

Melbourne-based DJ and producer Archie Sweeney, known as Astrek, has carved a niche in the city’s electronic music scene with his emotive and dynamic sound. Beginning his DJ journey fresh out of high school in 2016, Archie teamed up with his best friend Dion Paola, reviving Dion’s early start behind the decks. Together, they founded Wolftrax in 2018, a progressive house duo dedicated to pushing musical boundaries and creating captivating soundscapes for their audience.

Astrek’s sets and unique sound have been shaped by Melbourne’s rich electronic scene and the energetic festivals that sparked his passion for music. In 2022, Archie took the plunge into production, releasing tracks through respected labels such as AH Digital, Ugenius, Future Avenue, and Aviary Recordings. With a steady stream of unreleased music and collaborations on the horizon, Astrek is dedicated to crafting sets that captivate the dance floor, drawing listeners into a journey of emotive grooves and intricate sound production.
