Sometimes it just feels so good to do Absolutely Nothing. It's healthy to disconnect and take some time to just meditate in some peaceful environment. If you don't make the time for yourself nobody else will

Each day that comes my way .. I say to myself .. 
If I don’t make some time for me .. It won’t be made by anyone else… 
So I decided the other day .. It’s time to  make it fair…
Find myself a quiet spot .. Just .. park it there..
Turn off the phone .. disconnect .. I don’t care .not a damn bit .. 

I found a perfect place .. this abandon  little shack .. on a tiny beach in 
Waikoloa where I laid down on upon my back … 
Thinking  about nothing .. My mind was simply blank .. 
Must have stayed there for at least three hours .. 
oh..how time past doing nothing …  I mean nothing .. Absolutely nothing

Feels good doing nothing … Good doing nothing 
I can do what I want with the day I got .. Put it on hold .. everything just stops
Feels good doing nothing … Good doing nothing
Take some time for some things .. just for me .. 
Nothings just fine with me … 


I read a book I’ve been trying to get to .. for at least about a year .. 
Then listened to a little music I love .. filled my heart and ears ..  
Time so sweet like milk and honey and I didn’t want to leave the shack ..
As the sunset I was making plans for the next time I come back..
Nobody else will make that time for you .. just yourself .. Lets do it 

Shade trees .. covering up the sun .. A cool breeze on my face .. 
I don’t miss a single thing from the everyday crazy race
As I sip on a cold drink .. I just love that fruity taste.. 
If there’s anybody looking for me that’s fine .. They can wait 
Because ..  for now it’s nothing .. Absolutely nothing

Songwriter Ed Barry AKA Songs by Ed has been writing songs since his early teens. More recently he has actively written and produced consistently  over the past 12 years.
