[Résumé] 
Marthe et Marie ont deux postures très différentes : l’une est debout, active, très occupée et peut-être même préoccupée. C’est Marthe qui est sur le plan matériel et temporel : face à tant de choses à s’occuper, Marthe se sent seule et dépassée. L’autre est assise semblant passive mais centrée et concentrée sur la seule chose vraiment essentielle : écouter Jésus. Marie est sur le plan spirituel et éternel. Parfois, nous avons bien le nez dans notre guidon. Dans sa grâce, Dieu crie pour nous extirper de cette réalité matérielle et nous inviter à changer de plan. Pour cela nous devons nous asseoir au pieds de Jésus, l’écouter pour nourrir notre âme et fortifier notre foi. Laissons-nous instruire par lui, comme Marie, mettons-nous à son école. Quand le semeur de terrain parle, c’est important, essentiel, fondamental, indispensable et vital d’écouter ! Mettons-nous à son école et écoutons avec un coeur honnête et bon car sa parole est de première nécessité. Que le Seigneur nous aide dans nos choix de priorités, afin que nous puissions toujours choisir la bonne part, celle qui ne nous sera jamais enlevée !
