Kyoko Kitamura is a vocal improviser, bandleader and composer, currently teaching at Bennington College. A long-time collaborator of legendary composer Anthony Braxton, Kitamura appears on many of his releases and is the creator of the acclaimed 2023 documentary Introduction to Syntactical Ghost Trance Music which DownBeat Magazine calls “an invaluable resource for Braxton-philes.” Active in interdisciplinary performances, Kitamura provided vocals for, and appeared in, artist Matthew Barney’s 2023 five-channel installation Secondary.

This channel gathers the soundtracks, anthems and experiments created for my fictional worlds — from the neon temples of Oikos to the fog-drenched streets of Victoria Magica, and the gritty docks of Thornmouth.

Every track belongs to a story. Some are love songs, some are laments, others are pure chaos — but all of them are fragments of the worlds I build.

None of these works are commercial. They’re part of my creative process — sketches in sound, born from imagination, crafted with AI tools, and shared for the joy of creation.
