BUFFALO, NY- November 6, 2023 – A new #editorial paper was #published in Oncotarget's Volume 14 on October 31, 2023, entitled, “The uncharted role of HER2 mutant alleles in breast cancer.”

Somatic HER2 mutations are a novel class of therapeutic targets across different cancer types. Treatment with the tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) neratinib as a single agent continues to be evaluated in HER2-mutant metastatic disease. However, responses are heterogeneous, with frequent early progression. 

In this new editorial, researchers Rashi Kalra, Bora Lim, Matthew J. Ellis, and Shyam M. Kavuri from Baylor College of Medicine discuss the under-explored effects of individual HER2 mutant alleles on therapeutic response, a role for HER2 mutation in metastatic propensity, and differences in patient outcomes in ER+ invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) versus invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). The preclinical efficacy of additional agents is also discussed, particularly the pan-HER inhibitor poziotinib.

“In summary, preclinical findings described above support clinical investigation of poziotinib in a subset of ER + mBC harboring HER2 somatic mutations and suggest further studies to evaluate poziotinib as a therapeutic agent in additional tumor types.”

The dynamics in Denis' life have been always inspiring his taste for music, while meeting different cultures, clubs and events. 
In 2014, at the age of twenty Denis started his first student job as a resident dj, in a local club in Vienna (Stylez Club, Neubau). He played weekly Wednesday to Saturday progressively evolving 4-6 hours sets, combining deep, progressive, minimalistic, tech, house and vocal elements according to the lounge or club rooms of the venue. 
Chasing the underground music for a decade, his music archives keep nothing but quality stories.
Started as a teenager’s hobby, his student job quickly becomes main target of time investment, by the times he had to work 20 hours a week behind the decks.
He attends in 2015 an electronic music production course in SAE Insitute (EMP Certificate, Vienna), then continues his musical journey till today, self exploring sound design and audio engineering...
 After two years of producing music and resident-practice, Denis moves back in 2016 to his hometown Sofia and launches officially his music artist project “Den's Vibe”. He played as local support alongside names like Meteo & Spirit!, MICROCHEEP & MOLLO, Skober, Matt Sassari, Steve Mulder, The Yellow Heads, Dj Steven, Andrez and more.
His contribution as an event-host introduced the live acts of foreign artists like Loco & Jam, Lander B, Oscar Escapa, Domek, Roman Adam and Dani Sbert to the Bulgarian public.
