Technologie heeft altijd politieke eigenschappen in zich, ook al zou je denken dat het slechts een neutraal hulpmiddel is. Aan de hand van het artikel Do Artefacts Have Politics van Langdon Winner (1980) leg ik uit waarom technologie bestaande politieke machtsverhouding kan reproduceren of aansturen, en hoe sommige technologieën zelfs intrinsiek beladen zijn met politieke waarden.
