The original Duck Legs was written from a jamming session with Dave Nicholls (who's on a number of other tracks here.  A genius guitarist, who I used to be in a band with at university called Amber Waves.)
this was a remix of that track, where I fully loaded up the arps from the Novation A-Station and Access Virus.  It's a bit too long yes.  And some issues on levels and being too loud.
So i've run through Ozone and tweaked it a bit here in 2025 to put it out there.
Dave always said he actually preferred the remix, even though I'd somewhat diminished the amount of guitar on the track.  
There wasn't ever any cover art for this one.  So I've had to do a piece in 2025.  Which is from a wonderful picture my sister Caroline took.  with added toy ducks, because let's be honest those swans aren't fooling anyone if they say they're ducks.

Duck Legs

The original was the last track on the 2006 album Somnambulism.  I was always pretty happy with that version - except a noticeable and unintentional drop in volume at the end.
Rectified here, and not much tinkering on the track.
It's dischordant and distorted, whilst being harmonic and europhic in places.  i like the sample, even if it is about the death sentence....

Remake of the title track from the album back in 2005

A Quiet Place II

This is a reworking of the track 'Lighter Fluid' from 2006's Sonambuilism.  Th original is pretty much intact - except cut down from the sprawling 9 and half minutes - meandering trip hop with no hook or direction!!  Here we've got some dance vocals meant for about 135 BPM, feeling much more thoughtful and intimate when brought in at 100 bpm. 

echoes of imogen heap's hide and seek in here - not just because those words are in the vocals. though no vocoder has been used.  just waves harmonies, which is damn excellent.

Through The Ring

Another remake - this time of a track called 'Short Story' from Ambition (2006).  Now with some vocals and dialling up the bladerunner style synth sounds.  one of those tracks that feels faster than it's 102 BPM.  Renamed from the lyrics.  This was a pretty quick rework and the only issue was getting the bass to punch without distortion.  fingers crossed its ok on most systems.

When I'm not playing video games, I might actually be found working on some production. I'm really into an all hardware approach to music making these days and loving various synths, sequencers, and drum machines. I would even dare to say music making has surpassed gaming and is now my main pastime! While still trying to pinpoint my musical "sound", I definitely find myself incorporating my love for Deep House from my many years spent as a DJ but I'm not afraid to just let the music guide me in the moment.
