"The Long And Winding Road" is a track from 'Loud Silence,' a collection of chill, emotive, and mostly acoustic covers that are not for release. These are songs that reflect my mood state in between the production of the singles released commercially. It's deliberately of lower production quality.

"The Long And Winding Road" became the Beatles' final No. 1 hit, marking a poignant end to their legendary career. Released in May 1970, just a month after the Beatles' breakup, the song is cherished worldwide for its emotional depth and orchestral arrangement. 

As a lifelong fan of The Beatles, this song holds a special place in my heart. They were the first to inspire me to become a rock musician, and covering this track is a way to honor their immense influence on my musical journey.

In 2023 I teamed up with Mauricio Mirapalheta, a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist with deep roots in metal and punk. Our collaboration has turned what was originally planned as a solo project into a band named Wágner. Mauricio is also responsible for engineering and producing all of our music.

We continue to be busy in the studio, working on new original songs that will be part of a forthcoming album entitled 'It's Only Just Begun' and some reimagined iconic covers that will be packaged together on the soon to be released 'Sonic Memories.'

Several of the tracks have already been released as singles. They are out now and available everywhere.

"For No One" is a track from 'Loud Silence,' a collection of chill, emotive, and mostly acoustic covers that are not for release. These are songs that reflect my mood state in between the production of the singles released commercially. It's deliberately of lower production quality.

"For No One" is originally a song by The Beatles from their 1966 album "Revolver." Written by Paul McCartney and credited to the Lennon-McCartney partnership, it is a melancholic ballad about the end of a relationship. The song stands out for its classical influence and the use of a clavichord, an uncommon instrument in pop music.

In this cover, I connect deeply with the song, as The Beatles have been a massive inspiration throughout my life. When I was 9 years old, I would sing their songs in the shower and pretend that I was performing in front of a large crowd. This cover reflects that nostalgic connection and my deep appreciation for their music.

"Karma Police" is originally a song by Radiohead from their 1997 album "OK Computer." The song was released as the second single from the album and became one of the band's most popular tracks. The lyrics were written by Thom Yorke and the music by Radiohead. The song is known for its haunting melody and introspective lyrics that critique authoritarianism and conformity.

In this cover, I connect deeply with the song's message and its haunting beauty. The emotive quality of the track resonates with my own musical sensibilities, making it a perfect addition to the 'Loud Silence' collection.

Originally released on The Beatles' 1968 double album "The Beatles" (commonly known as the "White Album"), "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was written by George Harrison. The song was inspired by the Chinese "I Ching" and features a distinctive guitar solo by Eric Clapton, who played as a guest on the track.

Our cover version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," is a tribute to one of my biggest inspirations. The Beatles significantly influenced my decision as a young boy to become a rock musician someday, making this cover a heartfelt homage to the legendary band.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps (A Beatles Cover)

Another cover I worked on somewhat recently.  Sonic and the Black Knight has been on my mind lately, so while listening to the soundtrack last year, I was surprised to find that there was an acoustic violin/guitar cover for Knight of the Wind which I had never known before.  I thought it sounded really nice.  After listening to it once or twice, I immediately wanted to see if words could be put to it well, and shortly after decided to record it.

    I recorded this in November last year, so, a year ago now.  Funny enough, I was just recovering from a cold at the time, lol, but I felt better I wanted to try it, and the attempt sounded actually okay.

    I always reiterate that I am an amateur at recording and mixing, so it's not always the best.  In fact, I still get unsure of sharing these because I know I'm not a pro, lol, but I might as well, I suppose.  I can't just keep letting them sit forever, either.

    I feel I changed my singing style for this a little bit.  Not sure I entirely like it, but I think it still sounds pretty good.  It's not perfect--I've thought of re-recording before, but since I do like how most of this sounds a lot otherwise, I dunno if I'd get it to sound how I want.

    Again, like with the other acoustic one of "It Doesn't Matter", I recorded it to just be the main vocals with the music, because sometimes I think it's impactful that way, but I experimented with adding in backing vocals, so I guess I'll keep them.  I recorded the backing vocals to add in around May/June of this year.  I still struggle with getting the mixing to sound right with the reverb and all, but I try.  I really like the more mysterious, almost solemn sound this gives the song vs. the original by Crush 40.  So I wanted to match that similar emotion with the vocals.

I'm Wágner, a NYC native now based in Orlando, Florida, and the former lead singer of the mid-nineties alternative rock band, Nerve.

My musical journey began at 15 with the recording of two demos, "Dust" and "Visions of You." A year later, these demos were reimagined for my first commercial release, a debut EP titled 'A Way of Life.' This EP featured a radio mix and dance remix of "The Third Wave of Sorrow," produced and engineered by Rob "Bung" Bengston at The Workshoppe Recording Studios. Known for its work with The Fixx's Cy Curnin and housing Blondie's "Betrok Tapes," the studio's reputation was further enhanced by the guest appearance of Victor Loud, renowned touring and session drummer for Billy Idol, who contributed both drum and additional percussion parts.

An immediate hit at New Wave clubs, this debut EP was released by Novus Records and nationally distributed through Important Record Distributors, which later became Relativity Entertainment Distribution (RED) in the 199s, and ultimately Sony/RED Distribution.

In 2023, after stepping away from the music scene for nearly three decades, I teamed up with Mauricio Mirapalheta, a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist with deep roots in metal and punk. Our collaboration has turned what was originally planned as a solo project into a duo named Wágner. Mauricio is also responsible for engineering and producing all of our music.

Featured in productions such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Nine, and The Great Gatsby, among others, and contributed as a vocalist in projects like Amadeux and Western Girls. Represented Spain at the Pjesma Mediterana festival in 2010 with the song One Day or Another.

Collaborated as a backing vocalist for artists like Fangoria and Digital 21 & Stefan Olsdal (Placebo) and lent her voice to jingles for radio and TV. Currently involved in Ludovico Musical Experience, blending artistic versatility with a passion for live performance. Background in Performing Arts, Teaching, and Vocal Technique.

Hi!  My name is Kyla!  I am a Bible-believing follower of the Lord Jesus Christ first and foremost!  I'm an amateur who's been voice-acting and singing for my own amusement in private for over ten years, aside from singing in church and singing at some family parties a few times during my childhood, and have always been extremely shy about letting anyone hear it.  Acting is a huge drive of inspiration for all my stories as I tend to make up dialogue and ideas on a whim in my own time.  I like to do a lot of character voice impressions, as well as act some of my own characters.

    After getting my first microphone around 2017-18, I started dabbling in Audacity and began trying to put stuff to recording.   Though I am not a professional by any means, I'm trying to put my vocal abilities out there after years of keeping it to myself, learning and toning my recording/editing skills in hope that they touch someone out there with God's love in the tough world we live in.   Since first starting, I feel I have already made a difference of improvement between some of my older recordings to newer ones, and I'm still learning.  I may still upload some older ones in spite the lesser quality and/or mistakes I hear, but hopefully I'll re-record more of them in time.

    Though I am female, my range can go from pitchy, kiddy female vocals, to some degree of deep, serious male ones.  I also love music and like attempting to do covers of anime songs, and have an aim to try some worship songs as well (worship is what started me singing since day one, after all!).
