This tune is dedicated to the late Jack Rose who inspired so many musicians and died too young. I wrote a tune intended as a desert blues piece, then heard Kensington Blues and realised they were too similar so I merged the two and dedicted the tune to Jack.

I lived in Botswana for two years. African music found its way into my head, heart and soul. It's all to do with the land, being part of a massive continent with its people, animals, birds and insects. The mopani is both a tree and a worm, a moth caterpillar, apparently a delicacy. I never knew because I'm vegetarian which made me a source of much concern and amusement. I used to think of this little guy sitting deep in the heartwood of the mopani tree doing his crazy worm dance to the sounds of the African bush.

I've played slide guitar since I started playing. I copied all the top players beginning with the old Mississippi guys, then the Stones, Allmans, Ry Cooder. But I keep going back to the source.

Hello! My name is Roman Gorielov. I am a musician from Ukraine. I fell in love with music when I was a child when I heard the album "Revolver" by The Beatles. The melody was magical and so in 1998 I started learning to play the acoustic guitar. 

In 2004 I graduated from a classical guitar music school and together with my classmates founded a band called Teatr Violy. We performed in local clubs, recorded at studios, and also were on radio and television. 

Since 2008 I have been taking part in the recording of Sunchild and Karfagen albums by my friend Antony Kalugin. Here I performed acoustic, electric and nylon guitars and sometimes backing vocals. During this period we participated at several prog-rock festivals in Europe. France in 2009, Holland in 2010, Belgium in 2013, France again in 2014 and 2017... The experience was amazing and rewarding. 

Since 2017 I started doing solo work: I compose, perform and record music myself in my studio using only live acoustic guitars. I can describe my music as melodic and emotional instrumental compositions with a gentle, soulful and lyrical mood. I am glad if you are interested in my music and I wish you all the best!

Ich bin iRFAN, ein lofi-Chillout-Künstler, der sich auf die Entwicklung von entspannenden und melancholischen Melodien spezialisiert hat. Mit einer Kombination aus warmen, verzerrten Gitarren, verschwommenen Pads und sinnlichen Vocals, schaffe ich eine beruhigende Atmosphäre, die die Zuhörer tief in ihren eigenen Gedanken versinken lässt. 

Meine Musik ist eine universelle Sprache, die jeder versteht und die mich zu einem einzigartigen Künstler macht. 
Die Art meiner Musik ist eine perfekte Soundtrack für einen ruhigen Nachmittag, eine stille Nacht oder einen gemütlichen Spaziergang durch die Stadt.
