Watch Out. Run. And Don’t Look Back. We’re welcoming back Mattfire to the Sub 49 Catalog as well as a newcomer, Montaud with their track “Watch Your Back”. Mattfire has previously released with us in 2024 with his track, “Ambush”. Since then, he's released on Chapter Eight, Youth Energy, Digital Empire, Palmlands Records, and more! This promising artist is on the up and up. Garnering more than 20,000 monthly listeners, 300,000 plays on digital platforms, and over 2,000 followers on social media.

Montaud is the young kid on the block. This 19 year old started his music journey in January of 2024. This self-taught producer based around Tech and Bacc House, had his 1st release in February 2025 with Digital Empire Records.

These 2 young lads from Mexico have delivered us a banging Tech House track that is already creating demand by other DJs. This track features a catchy high-pitched synth on top of a classic Tech House Arrangement that is sure to get the dance floor moving.

Colby Johnson is a San Diego-based electronic music producer and DJ, originally from Olympia, Washington. His journey into music began early, studying classical piano at the age of six before evolving into a deep connection with electronic music during his time exploring Seattle’s underground party and club scene.

Drawing influence from pioneering acts like Justice, Kaskade, Tiesto, Mr. Oizo, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, MSTRKRFT, and The Bloody Beetroots, Colby’s sound blends melodic textures with driving rhythms—rooted in house, techno, and electro. His diverse taste and musical intuition quickly translated into the world of DJing, leading to early residencies at clubs across Washington and later in Champaign, Illinois.
