Pain 95 is an album that I worked on for two and a half years.

All melodies created by me (except for three samples used, but drastically altered by me) and all drums created by me...

The album is an ode to those born in 1995, including myself.

Sean Botha is back with new music, after taking an 8 week break. Donker Kontinent, translated into English means Dark Continent. The title of the piece was inspired by the song "Reispsalm" recorded by South African artist Laurika Rauch. The song calls us back to Africa, specifically South Africa, Sean's country of birth. 

Donker Kontinent, does exactly that, it takes you back to Africa and carries with it a deep connection with the binary rhythm of life. The piece was designed using multiple drumming and other percussive sounds. The track includes the Australian Didgeridoo, timpani and the djembe. Enjoy the track and keep an ear out for more percussive music over the coming months.
