Nacidx y criadx en el sur de Madrid con raíces ecuatoguineanas, desarrolla una práctica artística que mezcla referencias de archivo ancestral, estética pop y narrativas disidentes. PHILOSOPHY BEHIND THE SONG

The philosophy of Alfa di Bwoys is one of unapologetic feminine ascendancy — a fierce, rhythmic affirmation of power, sensuality, and mystique from the perspective of a woman who does not ask for permission to lead but simply assumes the throne. It reimagines dominance not as something inherited from masculine archetypes but as something rooted in ancient, intuitive, and embodied knowledge. She is not powerful like a man — she is powerful like a woman who knows she is the prize, the prophecy, and the storm.

This woman exists in full ownership of her allure and influence. Her curves, voice, movement, and presence aren’t passive; they’re tools of command. She doesn’t seduce — she orchestrates desire. Men don’t merely admire her; they become entranced, undone, and transformed by her. The song channels this through layered cultural symbols: tribal markings as badges of identity, jungle metaphors as expressions of natural superiority, and spiritual references as markers of ancient, feminine intuition that modernity cannot contain.

Set to an Afro-trap, dancehall, and samba-driven backdrop, Alfa di Bwoys becomes more than just a musical piece — it is a ritual in sound, a declaration that femininity is not soft by default, nor is it submissive. It is cunning, assertive, and deeply spiritual. The woman at the centre of this narrative doesn’t just dominate men; she redefines what it means to be dominant in the first place. She’s not fighting for space — she is the space. And anyone entering her world must rise to meet her energy or fall to its rhythm.

Ever stepped into a room where the music didn’t just play, it moved through the room… and through everybody?  If you’ve seen Sinners by Ryan Coogler, you’ll remember that juke joint scene where everything flowed in perfect synergy. The music bent across eras and genres. Sound, spirit, community, and liberation all came together. That kind of collective freedom lives in this track.  This piece, "Unhainted," is about ancestral memory, spiritual defense, and release through sound. It is Part II of my track "Haint," from my first instrumental beat tape 12323 After seeing how Sinners depicted haints, I felt called to revisit and evolve the vision I began with "Haint."  In Gullah Geechee tradition, haints are restless spirits, but they can also be people. The kind who carry a certain kind of disturbance. Not always seen, but always felt. Confusing the atmosphere, draining the energy. "Unhainted" carries the concept of my original track “Haint” forward into cleansing and clarity. It’s rooted in the tradition of keeping our spirits clean and our spaces clear from haints, bad energy, and anything that moves against our alignment.  Released on 052525. A numeric palindrome. An audiobook version of the 2018 performance 'Black Holes' Weaving together poetic text and movement, Alexandrina Hemsley and Seke Chimutengwende come together to retell the history of the universe from the big bang through to the universe’s death.

Speculating on how to be with their bodies that carry histories of marginalisation and anti-blackness, Seke and Alexandrina combine elements of Science Fiction and personal narrative to propel the personal and the mythic onto a cosmic scale.

This is an adaptation of the stage show Black Holes by Seke Chimutengwende & Alexandrina Hemsley  into an audiobook within a new, immersive sound world designed by Xana, hosted by Deptford X, broadcast by AJJA Radio

Rasheedah Phillips is the founder of The AfroFuturist Affair, founding member of Metropolarity Queer Speculative Fiction Collective, co-founder of Black Quantum Futurism, co-creator of the  Community Futures Lab, and creator of the Black Women Temporal Portal, Time Zone Protocols, and Black Time Belt projects.  Rasheedah Phillips’ books include: Dismantling the Master's Clock: On Race, Space, and Time  (2025, AK Press); The Telescoping Effect  (2017, self-published); and Recurrence Plot and Other Time Travel Tales (2014, self-Published). "Streets of RÆL" is a futuristic hip-hop instrumental built for revolution and sacred movement. Inspired by classic side-scrolling beat-em-ups and the spirit of cosmic resistance, this track follows Eddie “Skate” Hunter as he fights to free his brother and the city of RÆL from the Syndicate. Hard-hitting drums, ambient mist, and glowing synths ride under breakbeat aggression and divine elevation. This beat powers the short film “Streets of RÆL”,  a cel-shaded Afro-futurist odyssey through betrayal, rebirth, and riot. Produced and animated by me, real.e.quick.
