Time for episode 20! BXY SANTIAGO’ driving force within the house and techno scene in his home city, Malmo. Here, he thrives on creative expression, whether as a solo artist or through his involvement with the AGGREGAT collective.

Known for his signature dubby minimal sound, BXY SANTIAGO’s DJ sets transcend genres, encompassing everything from techno to techtrance, hardgroove infused with elements of rap, grime, R&B, and old-school classics. With his sets, he’ll take you on a sonic journey, seamlessly shifting from hypnotic minimal sounds to heart-pounding kick-drums.

Q: What made you start DJing?
A: Started out as a bedroom producer, making all kinds of beats but slowly gravitated towards techno and house. The producing became a gateway into mixing and now I’m still trying to figure out how to combine the two, while still making parties as AGGREGAT.

A: speed, fun, hype

A: Probably 25th of dec at Aggregat depot or my inkonst debut in dec.

The german techno live band "Aggregat" is once again setting an example in the electronic music scene with the release of their track "Protoplasma" in the Artenvielfalt Remix. 
Stylistically, the song fits in with the powerful drums and dynamic melodies that are reminiscent of works by artists such as Booka Shade, Stefan Bodzin or Nathan Fake and promises to conquer the dance floors.
The harmonious soundscapes and pulsating beats perfectly capture the essence of Aggregat's musical vision. The track takes the listener on a sonic journey that is both deeply emotional and energetic, blurring the boundaries between live music and technology.
The remix is characterized by complex soundscapes and a well-thought-out composition that is suitable for both intimate club settings and large festival stages. The track manages to create an atmosphere that is both nostalgic and forward-looking, while maintaining a distinctive traditional sound signature.

Music to save the"diversity of arts"

Ben &  Lenny are real northern ligths. Both of them are looking back on a long musical history. The collaboration as "Artenvielfalt" was founded to create a better environment for everybody. 
"Art" and "diversity" is what they both take seriously.
Nothing bores them more then riding on the same style on and on again.
A mixture of nostalgia & modern spirit is impressing their deep, minimal & tech-house compositions. They are constantly on the hunt to find new spiecies in their audio adventures. A visitation on one of their excursions provids an extensive insight into their fascinating work and is leaving a feeling of deep satisfaction.

Malmö Techno Tales: 

Malmö Techno Tales is an initiative to recognize and celebrate Malmö's underground scene. Here on SC, you will find mixes from veterans to newcomers in the scene. The primary focus will be on local DJs.

Bad Balance: 

Malmö-based Bad Balance, founder of the mixcast series and club concept Malmö Techno Tales and one of the co-founders of the collective Kenopsia, began his DJ journey in 2020. It all started when he and a few friends took the leap to organize open-air events on the outskirts of Malmö. Since then, he has become a household name in his hometown and has had the opportunity to play at some of the most renowned clubs in Copenhagen.

He usually gravitates towards a mix of hypnotic and groovy techno sounds, with a penchant for blippy sounds, rhythmic beats, and round kicks.
