Sound the alarm, we’re back! PAGER15 is our first VA since 2020, and it’s a special one—dropping soon with four tracks, four unique voices, and enough groove to shake your neighbor’s picture frames off the wall!

First up, our homeboy Phil Evans, aka "the coach” aka daddy cool, with Chocolate Funk. Imagine warm pads, crispy drums, and a bassline so addictive it should come with a warning. Add his signature offbeat stabs and a swing smoother than the creamy drizzle on kimchi fries, and you’ve got a groove that lingers long after the needle lifts.

Fresh blood incoming! Wavelength Infinity marks the Pager debut of the Parisians Aline Umber & Maxime dB, and they’re making waves. Deep, undulating basslines meet shimmering pads in a hypnotic blend of rhythm and texture. It’s a groove-roller that pulls you in faster than a free drink at the bar.

Flip it over, and California Sunshine Boy Rocky delivers debut number two with Aquatic Maneuvers. Flowing pads and bubbling percussion weave together a lush, evolving soundscape. Organic and intricate, it shifts like underwater currents, with each layer wrapping around you like the warm embrace of an after-hours vibe you never want to end!

And then there’s the Gude-Launebär himself—Markus Sommer, aka Frau Hommer, answering the eternal question: Does it Funk? Spoiler: absolutely. Rolling basslines, sharp percussion, and cheeky melodic twists come together. This is Hommer energy at its peak!

You know the drill: Either you grab it while it’s hot, or you’ll be left watching it spin on someone else’s deck. PAGER15 is calling—don’t let it go to voicemail!

Don’t be misled by the title -“Winter” is no frostbitten retreat. Rather, it’s the glint of sunlight catching on the last patch of ice, the first breath of spring when the cold still lingers in the lungs. Nestled as the B2 cut on "The Ultimate Herrings Grooves", Electrodynamique’s latest offering on Lis Sarroca’s Maai Records, “Winter” floats in that rare, radiant space between nostalgia and emergence - an aural photograph developing in real time.

Downtempo in tempo but high in emotional wattage, “Winter” trades the brute force of club dynamite for something more crystalline, more poised - a memory chiseled into form. The breakbeat rhythm stumbles gracefully, like someone waking from a deep dream, while icy synths trace delicate shapes in the air, cool to the touch but glowing faintly from within. Each sound is placed with intention, as though unearthed rather than produced - remnants of the early 2000s electro and synth-pop scenes, polished but not sanitized.

And yet, “Winter” is no exercise in vintage worship. It hums with life, glimmers with care - the unmistakable mark of someone who’s not just revisiting old sketches but breathing into them anew. It’s a track that doesn’t beg to be played out at peak time; it beckons you inward, pulls you closer, invites you to remember something you were never quite sure happened in the first place.

There’s a quiet majesty to it, this sense of stillness in motion, of frozen water beginning to run. With “Winter,” Electrodynamique - the elusive alter ego of Kirill Rem - continues to explore the emotional bandwidth of electro-infused storytelling. And while it may sit at the tail end of the EP, this track feels like a beginning. A thaw. A shift. A promise that the silence is temporary, and the dance - in whatever form - will return.

Torture the Artist - your source for contemporary electronic music

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
