Starting with a smooth "Blue Sky Warmup" and rolling into a tribute to the Allman Brothers Band, this setlist is packed with jams, riffs, and iconic covers. From "Mountain Jam" to "Whipping Post," and a nod to Thin Lizzy’s "Bad Reputation," I’ve thrown in a mix of warmups, riffs, and some of my favorite classic rock anthems. The session closes with the epic "Canon Rock" by Jerry C to bring it all home.

Nella suggestiva cornice dell’Abetone a Sassari, i FACTORY (Mark III) hanno riportato in vita uno dei brani più epici del Southern rock con una versione incendiaria e profondamente psichedelica di Whipping Post. L’esibizione, registrata il 10 gennaio 2025, è un viaggio sonoro che abbraccia la tensione viscerale del pezzo originale degli Allman Brothers Band, spingendola però oltre, verso territori improvvisativi carichi di elettricità emotiva.

Antonio Miscali alla voce e chitarra acustica regala un’interpretazione intensa e sofferta, con un timbro blues roco e caldo, perfettamente aderente al pathos lirico del brano. Sergio Virdis, alla chitarra elettrica, costruisce assoli dilatati e viscerali, che esplodono in un interplay mozzafiato con l’Hammond di Silvio Vinci, vero cuore pulsante del crescendo psichedelico. 
La sezione ritmica – Luca Monaco alla batteria e Chris Pain al basso – tiene insieme l’intera architettura sonora con solidità e dinamismo, alternando groove sincopati e aperture progressive in puro stile anni ’70.

Il risultato? Una versione di Whipping Post che non è solo una cover, ma una reinterpretazione viva, viscerale e travolgente. La Mark III dei FACTORY conferma così la sua vocazione visionaria, capace di fondere radici blues, improvvisazione psichedelica e spirito garage rock in un’unica, ipnotica esperienza sonora.
