LAMIRA is the passion child of two musicians with years of active presence in the metal / rock / alternative scene, who wanted to experiment in new directions and create an artistic experience stripped from the constraints of their existing acts. This project is a mixture of modern metal explosive riffs, over layered ambience created either by synth elements or guitars, pompous beats and a dynamic range of melodic vocal lyricism or raw screaming. The lyrics are engaging with the complex modern life, philosophical quests and psycho social issues.

LAMIRA derives from an ancient word meaning the unfathomable depths of the seas or abysmal chasms. It symbolises the tragic course of the human existence attempting to grasp chaos and prepare for the inevitable. This is a journey of reconciliation with the archetypal drama.

In summer 2020, in between two covid lockdowns, Florian, Hugo, Mehdy and Fabien decide to meet and record some songs together in a dorm room in Lyon. This self recorded EP is meant to contain demos for promoting future shows. However, halfway through mixing, the demos were lost and forgotten... Until more than four years later, when they were found again! These raw, unpolished, half-mixed, half-mastered demos are shared today with the world, as a way to remember the good old days of Dreamlike.

ÆKLIPS is geboren uit een liefde voor meedogenloos harde instrumentals en spacey ambience.
In hun muziek neemt de vijfkoppige groep je mee in een dynamiek tussen hard, zacht, licht en donker.  Beukende riffs en manische vocalen zetten in die uitbloeien naar luchtige soundscapes en refreinen, die bijdragen aan thematische teksten over introspectie en de sleur van het dagelijks leven.
ÆKLIPS omringt je met een tornado van duisternis, waarin je in het oog van de storm een stukje helderheid vindt.
