"Why Don’t We Meditate" is the brainchild of lyricist Mike Dobbins and indie artist Leaone. Known for their gritty Johnny Cash meets Nick Cave style, “Why Don’t We Meditate” launches a new musical frontier for the duo with its throwback psychedelic 60’s vibe.  Rather than your typical sleepy, relaxing meditation song, “Why Don’t We Meditate” is a full-on rock song that picks up where The Beatles left off.  
With its trippy instrumentation and instructive lyrics, "Why Don’t We Meditate?" is more than just a song; it's an invitation to discover the serenity that lies within us all. The track seamlessly blends indie rock elements with Leaone’s mesmerizing baritone vocals, creating an immersive experience that teaches as much as it entertains.    
“I wanted to create a song that would provide a musical escape but also inspire people to explore the incredible benefits of meditation," says lyricist and long-time meditator Mike Dobbins.  “After experiencing the transformative power of meditation in my own life, I hoped to use my artistic medium to encourage others to do the same.”

Luminous Wavez is the collaboration of U.S. lyricsit Mike Dobbins (Patience Gloria) and U.K. musician Leaone (Lee-own).  Dobbins wrote lyrics for the Chicago based indie pop band Patience Gloria (2008-2014), with their greatest highlight coming in 2010 when they played the historic and iconic Hideout music venue in Chicago.  Leaone is a solo artist based in London who previously signed with the indie label Fierce Panda Records.  His first EP "Oh My Sweetest Sin" was hailed by reviewers throughout the U.K.  Now an independent artist, Leaone and Dobbins formed Luminous Wavez in 2020 amid the punishing pandemic.  Dobbins discovered Leaone on the music collaboration website SoundBetter and was instantly drawn to his deep, moody, captivating voice.  Their first EP, Raindrop Castle, explored their eclectic musical tastes while their second EP, Ashes of the Artist, has a more consistent soundscape in the vein of Johnny Cash and Nick Cave.   The two continue to collaborate musically though to this day they've only communicated via email.
