[Ambient/Prog] Dreamscape - Instrumental (39/8, 19/8, 5/8)

I'm slowly coming down from the magical experience of my set played from 4 to 6am the last night on the beautiful chillout stage at @hadratrancefestival 2024.
Now it's been few years I’m mixing psychedelic bass and chillout music in a lot of different places, and  for this last gig of a big summer I went to play this one with no pressure like if I was at home, just assembled few of my favorite "ambient" tracks 2 days before and .... wooah ... what a surprise, this set was magical, and from far my best experience as an artist so far !

Of course, this is Hadra Festival ... a very big and well knowed gathering of psychedelic music bringing a lot of very cool people, and I've just realized when I was playing this set that all my work and efforts these last years to share good music and the chillout vibe the best I can, lead me here ... under a dome full of people deeply touch by each track of the set, a true connection with the crowd, living this moment at 300% together, a message from the heart shared.

I was so happy and proud with myself to have the chance of sharing this journey with you, doing my best to tell my inner experiences of life that you will interpret to yours through this music that talk for itself 🙏

La storia recente ha cambiato e sta cambiando il mondo intero.
Il virus, le morti , i lockdown, la guerra, le minacce, il gas, le bollette da pagare, l’incertezza per il futuro, lo schifo totale della politica, e in questo scempio la nostra vita diventa una avventura sempre più complicata, ingiusta e imprevedibile.
Il brano mi è venuto in mente pensando proprio a queste cose,
al fatto che forse il futuro non sarà come speravo e la qualità della nostra vita sarà peggiore rispetto a prima, perché io, a differenza di Vasco, NON voglio una vita piena di guai....

The breath of apricot significa Il respiro dell’albicocca, ed 
è un titolo, apparentemente strano, dedicato ad uno strumento che secondo me ha un suono meraviglioso e profondo, il duduk. 
Questo strumento a fiato di origine Armena simile ad un flauto ma con ancia doppia viene costruito con legno di albicocco.
La scena che ho immaginato è di un ragazzo che suona il duduk seduto su una grande pietra di notte, al buio, con la sua immagine che contrasta con la luna bianca, grande, e lui è come se ne fosse al centro, in una immagine suggestiva...

Le note che formano l’arpeggio iniziale sono le stesse che troviamo in Introspezioni 1, ma è molto più lento e il brano si sviluppa diversamente.
Me lo ha fatto venire in mente la storia di Hachiko, il cane che ha aspettato il suo umano alla stazione di Shibuya, in Giappone, per quasi 10 anni, tutti giorni, non sapendo che lui non sarebbe mai più arrivato perché morto sul lavoro.
Dopo tanti anni di attesa, anche il fedele Hachiko è volato via ed ha di nuovo incontrato il suo umano, questa volta per sempre. Questa non è la sua storia, ma solo una dedica per un cane che ha dimostrato fedeltà, lealtà e amore per tutta la vita al suo compagno umano.

I’m not here to fill dancefloors.
I’m here to build landscapes — to shape colour, air, and emotion into sound.
Every SPRKL mix is a listening journey: a conversation between melody and silence,
tension and release, comfort and discomfort.
I’ve never been interested in the easy applause.
Crowds will always want the predictable — the drop, the hook, the relief.
But life, like music, isn’t meant to stay in one key.
So I push beyond what the promoters expect, past what the crowd assumes it wants.
I blur boundaries between ambient, techno, organic, and progressive because real
stories don’t care about genres — they care about truth.
When I mix, I’m not chasing trends or fame; I’m tracing memory and curiosity through

SPRKL - Delivers a unique sound with Progressive House roots but explores ethereal, esoteric, dark, deep, with layers of uplifting euphoric lifts -  almost verging of a downtempo neo trance. The sets always take the crowd on amazing journeys of colour and texture, adventure and bliss with unexpected turns and drops created though unexpected key and chord changes. Scenic landscapes that keep changing as if you are moving through at speed. Each mix is a canvas, a story leaves the listener or crowd feeling moved. That's it for words. The only way to understand it is to take a listen, (on headphones or hifi) to experience the the nuances that lie within the intricate mixes. All that and maybe nothing. Just enjoy the frequency of soul.

From the mountains of the east coast of the Iberian Peninsula and Balearic islands, emerges Paradigmantra OrgancDJ: a sound alchemist and world music collector who fuses tradition with electronic avant-garde. His approach combines ancestral instrumentation and psychedelic production into a hypnotic experience filled with organic textures, mind-caressing frequencies, and vibrations that uplift the spirit while Pachamama remains present.

Exploring styles such as downtempo, psychill, psychedelic dub, psychedelic ambient, and spiritual deep organic tribal house, he guides sound toward mystical states of consciousness where meaning is revealed through music.

In his sets, each rhythm is a gateway to inner expansion. Ethnic melodies and details of traditional music are intertwined with immersive atmospheres, inviting the listener to embark on their own journey through free dance, introspection, and connection with the present moment. The temporal interplays of DownTempo, Midtempo, Dub, and Organic Step allow the body to flow, break free from the repetitive cycle, and find authentic movement, like water in its continuous flow.

Paradigmantra creates sonic experiences that move and unite hearts to their natural beat, reminding us that we are energy, rhythm, and vibration. His music is a quantum chant that dances between the cosmos and the earth, between the soul and the body, awakening the awareness that everything is connected through the universal pulse of sound.

The music production software I use is GarageBand macOS.
I play guitar, bass, and keyboard instruments.
Depending on the song, I use Apple Loop.
I record the drums on a MIDI keyboard or use the drummer function of GarageBand.
My favorite bands are 70's progressive bands such as King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Yes, and ELP.

Vallou is a producer and DJ from France, involved in the underground psychedelic and chillout scene. He explores a wide range of sounds, with his own productions born of a very personal alchemy, in which his emotions and inspirations have infused, and with progressive DJ sets navigating between various styles and textures.

After 2 albums on Mindspring Music and releases on various compilations, his music has been discovered and resonated internationally, sharing universal emotions and stories that awaken memories of our life journeys.

Each piece is a piece of his story told with a powerful gentleness, that allows us to dive deep inside ourselves, to look at and accept our past, to give us the strength to move forward. It's a therapeutic journey that he shares with you from his own universe, to offer you a beautiful moment of love and a profound experience for a little while.
