Since the brilliant GForce Minimonsta 2 synthesizer was released in Feb 2023, people have been asking how it compares to the also-brilliant original Minimonsta. In this playlist you will find four "in-use" comparisons between the two. This is a very limited, non-scientific exploration. The new synth has additional features which are not exploited in these patches.

Some of these patches started out as presets in the Gforce synthesizers. Minor modifications were made to taste. The original tracks which are being casually emulated here were originally performed on the Minimoog except for "In the Cage". The reference track for In the Cage was performed on an Arp Quadra live. In the Cage was included to illustrate how well these Gforce synths could emulate non-Minimoog sounds.

If these synths sound good, its probably because they are. Very good. If they miss the mark, it's likely because of the person who put these little tracks together.
