Rituals 2024 @ Stine Amundsen

On August 30th 2024 I had the immense privilege to mix with my brother Dj Omni on the Pirate stage @ Era Festival. It was the first time I mixed with him, the first time I mixed at nightime in an actual festival and the first time I was confiant enough to ''improvise'' and ''go with the flow''. Everything was perfect, magical moment of synchronicity.  We were clever enough to press ''play'' at the beginning and lucky enough that there was no issue with the recording because that would had been impossible to replicate. I will never forget this unique and special moment shared with my brother, and all the people, including our mother, that were dancing and sharing their energy with us.. 🙏💃🎧🎶🤸‍♂️❤️🌠🤩

I'd been wanting to see if I could, coherently and… meaningfully (without undue manner…ism…s ;] ), mix a group of tracks from my collection that range pretty widely in tempo (for techno, or for how I play techno at least :) and intensity (and feel, and flavour) yet all share in some measure (however small, or subtle) a quality that…

…I (even I! ;) find hard to articulate. Like a wide clear night sky in the country (or desert, I imagine; I've not - yet - been :), deep black and riotous with stars, a bit dizzying and delicately dazzling, too vast to really comprehend and so instilling just the right (read: manageable :) amount of awe... is the best I can do. (In my collection, I tag these tracks 'cosmic', with various qualifiers, and for want of a less… used-and-oft-abused-yet-actually-literally-useful term: cosmic, as in, of the cosmos… ;D)

Wow, I've talked it up rather a lot! Anyway... Like all good psycho-cosmo-nautical trips (! ;), okay, journeys, this one has its moment(um)s and mean(der)ings… may range far, but… isn't long! Come along :)

Meine Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik ist bis heute ungebrochen. Ich liebe es, neue Platten zu entdecken und sie direkt in meine Sets einzubauen.

Über 60 und noch kein bisschen leise – das Etablissement des Palais Club besteht bereits seit 1957. Bis 2001 brannte im Milieu am Münchner Hauptbahnhof dauerhaft das rote Licht, sei es in Form eines Nightclubs mit Zockerhöhle im Hinterzimmer, als Kleinkunstbühne mit gelegentlichen erotischen Einlagen oder schlichtweg als Cabaret mit leicht bekleideten Damen. Dann kamen Skadi Schabacker & Pit Bischoff, die früheren Betreiber des Pearls, und übernahmen die zweistöckige Lokalität mit der frivolen Vergangenheit. 

Die ruhmreichen Tage spiegeln sich noch in der Einrichtung wider. Verwinkelte Räumlichkeiten und ganz viel sündiges Rot, Plüsch, Gold und Glitzer verbreiten weiterhin das Flair der 50er Jahre. Absolut in der Neuzeit angekommen ist dagegen die technische Ausstattung des Palais. Sowohl die Clubgänger als auch lokale, nationale und weit gereiste DJ-Größen aus dem Bereich der elektronischen Musik fühlen sich hier pudelwohl und genießen den glasklaren Sound und die obligatorische Bass-Massage. Dank der exklusiven Bookings und der im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes Longdrink-tauglichen Öffnungszeiten hat sich das Palais in den zwölf Jahren seines Bestehens zu einem strahlenden Fixstern der Münchner Clubszene entwickelt.

In 2008, Denis Lihotzky and Max Keck noticed a void in the Cologne underground music scene. So the two friends decided to start a project with the aim to fill that void: to provide Cologne with a regular event, which focuses on Melodic Techno. As an ode to their homeland, the Oberbergischer Land, they named their event Bergwacht or “Mountain Rescue”, and began to host parties once a month in Cologne’s Artheater. Denis “Liho”, who not only manages its bookings, but is also Bergwacht’s resident DJ, programs each event with an eye for upcoming talent and an ear for extraordinary music. Bergwacht’s guest DJs continue to attract a loyal and energetic audience, and by 2012, Bergwacht has become an important part of the Cologne underground Techno scene. Continuing to follow their passion, in September of 2012, the Oberbergischer troupe launched Bergwacht Records as an outlet to curate and present the music they love most, “Melodic Techno”. Their debut release features Max Keck and his longtime friend and collaborator Sven Kirchner as Tool..8 with remixes by Lanny May and Boss Axis. 1) Please send us streaming links only, we do not download any files. 
2) Please send unreleased tracks (we can’t sign a track if its released already) 3) Better 2-3 tracks than 1 track as we rarely release single tracks. 
4) Keep in mind that SENSO SOUNDS is all about techno 
5) Please be patient. We know you can’t await our response - but we do need some time to go through the demos.
