On this edition of The Richard Crouse Show we meet award winning Quebec filmmaker Stéphane Lafleur. His new movie “Viking” was a selection in Canada’s Top Ten and is available wherever you legally download movies on line. 

In the film The Viking Society is recruiting volunteers for the first manned mission to Mars. The goal is to form a B-team that will mirror the mission here on Earth in order to find solutions to the interpersonal problems that the Mars-bound crew is experiencing. 

Then, Andy Garcia about the scene that scene that made him a movie star, the Odessa Steps sequence in “The Untouchables.”

Finally, we’ll get to know multi-hyphenate Kevin Smith. He’s a filmmaker, actor, comedian, comic book writer, author, and podcaster. You know his movies like “Clerks,” “Dogma” and “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.” Now he adds another hyphen to his resume. Documentary subject. The documentary “Clerk,” now on VOD, touches on every aspect of his work, from the film that put him on the map to the View Askewniverse to his health problems and a new found self-awareness.

Es folgt die letzte große Herausforderung, die auf einem alten Frachter sein explosives Finale findet. Nein, mit dem Begriff alter Frachter ist nicht Megan Fox gemeint, die aber vermutlich ähnlich viel Spachtelmasse für das Ausbessern ihrer Dellen benötigt hat, wie die Crew des Frachters für das Flicken des demolierten Rumpfs. Okay, das war Böse, aber EXPEND4BLES muss man schon mit etwas Ironie begegnen, um diesem Machwerk noch etwas positives abgewinnen zu können. Oder ist er gar nicht so übel? With a cast as stacked as this one, it's crazy to think that this film almost serves as a palate cleanser after Cranked-out Statham, Harry HISHANDSISGUNS Potter, and Riki-Freakin'-Oh. That said, this movie has its moments, and you might want to pick it up from your local Walmart/Target bargain bin.

It's the final month of year, which means it's time again to celebrate the reason for the season and make it another DePalmber to ReMalmber as we fire up another Brian De Palma series, DePALMBER: PART DE, with 1987's The Untouchables, directed by De Palma, written by David Mamet, and starring Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, Andy Garcia, Charles Martin Smith, Robert De Niro, Billy Drago and Patricia Clarkson. A 1930s Chicago gangland drama about the prohibition war on Al Capone, it's a quintessential Dad Movie that found second life as a classic video store rental in the decade-plus after its release, and this week J Mo finally catches up with a movie that was the talk of the schoolyard some 25 years ago now. Plus: No trips to the theater to discuss this week, but we look to streaming for an in-depth report on the Taylor Swift / Travis Kelce fanfic Lifetime Original holiday film, Christmas In The Spotlight.
