Full Circle 01-06-23 Angelo Quinto 2nd Annual Commemoration of Life

Tonight, we are going back to Antioch to get some good news from the East Bay city rocked by a recent police text message scandal and FBI investigation. On tonight’s show we’ll hear two opening ceremonies in the city. First, Antioch is now the only city in Contra Costa County with a non police emergency community response team. We’ll hear some voices from the  kick off of what is now known as the Angelo Quinto Community Response Team AQ CRT. We also hear emotional testimony from the opening ceremonies of Antioch's launch of “Opportunity Village” a downtown hotel converted into transitional housing for our unhoused community. Later, to honor the birthday of Malcolm X, we’ll hear him in his own words after his return from Mecca.

This week on Full Circle we will hear about three days of actions centering on the antioch police and the mounting text message scandal. On tonight’s show we’ll hear an update on a court case where the Racial Justice Act is being applied by attorneys. We’ll also hear an in depth interview with the family of Angelo Quinto as they prepare to launch the Angelo Quinto Foundation with an event called “End The Cover Up- Excited Delirium. This week on Full Circle we continue to keep our eyes and ears on  Palestine and we also cover local and national stories. On tonight's show, we’ll hear a short interview with one of the protesters that shut down the San Francisco international terminal calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. We’ll also hear from the family of Angelo Quinto as they mark 3 years of achievements since their beloved son and brother was killed by Antioch police. We’ll close out the show with an update on Peehee Mu’huh aka Thacker Pass and the lithium mine that is currently devastating the land of the Paiute and Shoshone people.

Last week on Full Circle we continued to keep our eyes and ears on Palestine. We heard from Rami of the Palestinian Youth Movement Bay Area. He was part of the protest at the Google I/O conference in Mountain View. They were there speaking out about Google’s contributions facilitating genocide in Palestine. We also heard from the family of Angelo Quinto. The city of Antioch ca just agreed to a settlement of 7.5 million dollars for the killing of Angelo by Antioch police in 2020

Last week on Full Circle, we took a stand with two local families whose son’s lives were taken by police. We heard from a ceremony honoring Pedie Perez who was killed by Richmond police in 2014. The city and family just honored Pedie with the placing of two art cans at the site where Pedie was killed. Outside Uncle Sam's Liquors on Cutting Boulevard in Richmond. We also heard from the family of Angelo Quinto. The city of Antioch CA. just agreed to a settlement of 7.5 million dollars for the killing of Angelo by Antioch police in 2020
