Blind Bartimaeus may have been blind, but he could clearly see his condition and his need for Jesus Christ. He had nothing in this world to distract him or tie him down from following after Christ. He is our Lenten example to put aside the things of this world that we may follow after Christ with him in our Lenten fast.
