The Starry Marsh, is a series of dark, damp and somewhat beautiful wet meadows. The plants are special here as they emit a special glow, like a shining star in the night sky as monsters who fought the great war called them. A trek through these lands is quite relaxing as long as you follow the path.

After some clever tricks by Kris and Suzy to evade Alphys for as long as they could manage, she finally manages to catch up to the two of them and corner them. Somewhat upset at both herself and the duo that she managed to get tricked like that in the first place, decides to do what she "should've done from the very start", and starts aiming her (paint)gun at them.

Alphys' main modes of attack consists of using her paintball gun to shoot at Kris and Suzy, as well as using her electric magic. She also occasionally calls for back-up, who can all be spared pretty easily. Alphys can also be spared, the method thereof still needs to be decided, but the battle doesn't hinge on running away from her to end the battle, and successfully sparing her will automatically spare whoever else is still in-battle.

The SOUL mechanic in this battle combines the soul-rotating of the green SOUL mode with the shooting of the yellow SOUL mode. Kris' soul turns red here. Their SOUL is confined to a single point, allowing only rotating to take place, forcing them to deflect oncoming attacks with bullets of their own.

Coldfront: the chilliest place beneath the Earth. Despite its frigid temperature, Coldfront is home to plenty of monsters. A lot of them tend to be of the "I can handle this weather perfectly fine" variety, such as Snowdrake, Ice Cap and Gyftrot, but there's plenty of others roaming around who need to stay bundled up, or at the very least stay inside.

Out in Coldfront are a couple of monsters who lost their way during the extremely intense game of paintball that went on in Leafpile. Ever since the game ended, most people returned back to their normal, daily lives as if nothing happened. But because these monsters were already pretty lost, the news never made it to them that their game had ended.

Throughout their trek through Coldfront, Kris and Suzy encounter these last paintballers, a light-blue bear and a brown bear. At this point, they are already completely out of paint and can't do anything to fight each other. The two paintballers used to be friends, but the tension in the game (and the fact that they were forced on opposite teams) drove them apart.

The two of them each have their own individual battle in which the main method of sparing them is getting them to open up about their troubles. You can actually encounter either one of them in any order, depending on the paths you take in Coldfront, but by learning more about the one you learn more about the other in tandem and can more easily resolve the conflict by the time you encounter the second one.

Eventually this culminates in the scene where this song plays, where the two express their regrets and apologize to each other for their behavior and for letting something as silly as politics get in the way of the gift of friendship.
